Refunds and Replacements

Last updated: 6 September 2026

Search Insider is operated by Search Insider (ABN 89 727 858 076). This page explains what happens when an order does not go to plan. It sits alongside your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, which we cannot and do not exclude.

Before work starts

If you have paid for an order and we have not yet begun outreach, email us and we will refund it in full. No reason needed.

Once outreach has started

Link building involves approaching real publishers on your behalf, and that work has a cost from the moment it begins. Once we have started outreach on an order we cannot offer a full refund of the unstarted portion as cash. What we do instead:

  • Placements not yet delivered are refunded, or credited against a future order, whichever you prefer.
  • Placements already live are not refundable. They have been delivered.

If we cannot deliver

If we accept an order and then cannot find placements that meet the criteria we advertised, we will tell you rather than lower the standard to fill the quota. You choose: wait while we keep looking, swap to a different service, take a credit, or take a refund for the undelivered placements.

We would rather deliver seven links that meet the brief than ten that do not.

What is not covered

  • Ranking or traffic outcomes. We do not sell rankings and we do not refund for rankings that did not move. Search results depend on hundreds of factors outside any link builder's control.
  • Manual actions or algorithmic penalties on your site arising from work we did not do.
  • Changes you make to the destination page after placement.
  • A publisher's own editorial decisions after a placement is live, beyond the replacement window above.

How to make a claim

Email us with the order reference and what went wrong. We aim to respond within 1 business day. If we agree a refund, it goes back to the original payment method and typically clears within 5 to 10 business days depending on your bank.

Australian Consumer Law

If a service fails to meet a consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a remedy under Australian Consumer Law, being a re-supply or a refund for a major failure, regardless of anything on this page. Nothing here limits those rights.
